Paper Towns

Inspired by John Green's Novel, 'Paper Towns'.
Paper airplanes and paper clouds fill the polluted sky,
Streaks of murky black and milky white fill the skies at night.
I hold you close and I hold you tight.
A dream, a vision, a memory, and a melancholy lullaby.
The neon colors paint you with blood-stained scars.
Imperfect from creation, an indescribable enchantress who holds the fault within her stars.
You've been here, you've been there before too, and you've always dreamed about going everywhere.
Crossing the state lines, filling the gas tank, and worthy memories to be kept inside until the very end of time.
Paper towns filled with paper trees, paper folks walking down their paper streets.
A letter has been written in a paper-filled journal.
A letter about you, a letter about a journey that has yet to unfurl.
